The Bund is a n=main walkway on the River where everyone goes to see and be seen, a must do for Tourists as you can see the famous sights on both sides of the river.
Strolling along the Bund there are lots of friendly people who often stop to chat and take photos with you. so we think nothing of it when young students male or female, befriend you and want to practice English, its quite normal .Beware if they suggest going for a drink … you will end up in a bar / tea house further away than you think , and be lumbered with an incredibly huge bill, as they have a money making scam with the bar tender/ waiter etc. plus you might not find your way back..ooooppps
That’s where your hotel card comes in handy to flag a taxi . unless of course you speak Chinese !
