Never giive your Bank card details over the phone when staying in a Hotel. it was a scam lately In and around Los Ageles area according to a recent TV travel channel as follows:
You have checked into a Hotel and later receive a call from a really cool Imposter pretending to be the Hotel Receptionist. They politely advise that the computer system went down and they lost your Bank card details, could you give them over the Phone.
These scammers are calling from outside and nothing to do with the Hotel.
Never reveal your bank details over the phone, tell the caller you will go to the reception and sort it out later, and report the incident to them.
This of course can happen in any hotel anywhere in the world so its good to know whereever you go .Stay safe
